The Garden of St Erth – Garden Gathering

Part of The Great Trentham Spudfest – Discovery Day, The Garden of St Erth invites visitors to explore five acres of inspiring gardens where heirloom food plants and ornamentals grow side by side.
Two guided garden tours across the day offer a chance to wander through productive beds and curated displays showcasing varieties from The Diggers Club. From heirloom vegetables to rare ornamentals, the gardens provide plenty of inspiration for home gardeners looking to grow, harvest and experiment with unusual plants.
After exploring the grounds, visitors can browse the nursery and shop, which offer hundreds of seed varieties, perennials and cool-climate plants to take home. The café is the perfect place to pause, with a seasonal menu celebrating produce grown on-site, including special Spudfest dishes such as baked potatoes with garden-fresh toppings.
Spudfest Discovery Day opens the gates to farms, gardens and makers across Trentham and neighbouring towns, offering a chance to explore the region’s rich volcanic soils and learn directly from the people who grow here year-round.
