Held annually on March 23, National Eucalypt Day aims to raise awareness of eucalypts and celebrate the important place that they hold in the hearts and lives of Australians.
Each year, Eucalypt Australia, in collaboration with Remember the Wild (a charity dedicated to connecting people with nature), runs a series of events celebrating the iconic gum tree. A highlight is the vote for Eucalypt of the Year. This year, instead of voting for an individual tree, participants will vote for one of 10 destinations synonymous with eucalypts.
