The Ballarat Begonia Festival is set to return in 2026, transforming the Ballarat Botanical Gardens into a vibrant celebration of horticulture, sustainability and community from Saturday March 7 to Monday March 9 (Labour Day long weekend).
Renowned for its breathtaking displays of rare begonias, the Ballarat Begonia Festival will showcase the city’s rich gardening heritage with a renewed focus on sustainability. This theme will be woven through all aspects of the festival, inspiring visitors to connect with nature and embrace eco-conscious practices. Highlights of the 2026 festival include the 2026 Begonia Display in the Robert Clark Conservatory, a visit from Sophie Thomson who will grace the festival’s main stage, interactive art installations, family entertainment and more.
