Talking Garden Design with Fiona Brockhoff, Phillip Withers and Michael McCoy

Open Gardens Victoria presents a night of lively conversation with three renowned Melbourne based landscape architects.

Fiona Brockhoff, Phillip Withers, and facilitator Michael McCoy will discuss their respective projects, design philosophies, and reflections on the process of crafting great gardens, including Saltbush, the MIFGS 2024 Gold Show Garden Award garden, designed by Phillip in collaboration with Fiona.

Drawing on their combined portfolios of projects, spanning a wide range of garden types, styles, and geographies from urban to coastal, and regional Victoria, this talk will provide landscape designers and home gardeners with a range of frameworks for considering landscape design in the contemporary Australian context.

 There’ll be an opportunity to ask questions and debate perspectives. Books will be available for sale after the event.

The event will be held at the Better Building Exchange, an incubator space dedicated to cross-disciplinary exchange, research, and testing, with the goal of amplifying ideas, skills, technologies, and partnerships to accelerate the decarbonisation of our built environment at scale.
