The Vase and Flower Show opens for the third time on November 29, 2025.
Curated by Sassy Park, the exhibition brings together seven other artists — Toni Warburton, Georgia Harvey, Helen Fuller, Stephen Benwell, Lotte Schwerdtfeger, Patsy Hely and Alana Wilson — to craft new ceramic works that elevate the domestic flower vase and blur the boundary between function and art.
Visitors can wander through the exhibition rooms infused with the perfume of leaves and blossoms, where smell, colour, pattern and texture combine to create a true feast for the senses.
The vase can be seen as a halfway object, operating between functional and decorative roles, and carrying the outside world in. The versatile medium of ceramics carries with it histories and traditions, personal sentiments and familiarity. As well as holding flowers and branches, the vase also holds interest, fantasies and thoughts.
There will be an opening event on Saturday 29 from 3-5pm and an exhibition essay by Mara Schwerdtfeger.
