Garden enthusiasts and history lovers, mark your calendars! Wombat Park Estate’s historic garden will open its gates to the public for the first time in nearly 10 years this November (2-3).
Nestled in the heart of Daylesford, Victoria, Wombat Park Estate boasts a garden that is steeped in history and grandeur. First planted in the early 1850s by one of Daylesford’s founding fathers and prominent politician at the time, William E Stanbridge, the garden was meticulously developed over the 19th and early 20th centuries and is a testament to the enduring beauty of Victorian-era landscaping.
In addition to the breathtaking garden experience, visitors can indulge in delicious food and beverages available for purchase on-site at a country market on the croquet lawn. Visitors will be able to explore a variety of plants, garden wares, and books offered by onsite stallholders, including Passing Clouds Winery, Spade to Blade Catering, Daylesford Gourmet, Enki Apothecary, The Secret Garden, Bridget Bodenham Ceramics, and more.
