					A tough, low-growing plant with distinctive-tasting leaves that can be used in pickles, salad dressings and is delicious with chicken.
							When to plant/sow in  zone: 
						
						
						
													
								Requirements:
								Sunny spot; protection from wind and frost; don't over feed							
						
						
													
								Soil:
								Well-drained soil enriched with compost only.							
						
						
													How to start: SEEDLING: French tarragon is grown from cuttings, division or seedlings. If growing more than one, space 45-60cm apart. Water in and mulch with straw.							
												
						
													How to grow: Keep on the drier side - French tarragon doesn't like to be too wet. Apply seaweed solution or liquid fertiliser fortnightly. If soil is poor, apply organic fertiliser pellets monthly.							
												
												
						
													When to harvest: Start harvesting from 6 weeks.
