Requirements:
Water and liquid feed regularly.
Soil:
Well-drained soil enriched with compost and/or well-rotted manure or organic pellets.
How to start: SEED: Best sown direct in the ground, 5mm deep. Keep moist. Germinates in 7-14 days. SEEDLING: Plant outside or into a 20-30cm pot when seedlings are 5-10cm+ tall. Space 50cm apart, in rows 50cm apart. Water in and mulch with straw.
How to grow: Keep moist and mulch with straw. Apply seaweed solution or liquid fertiliser fortnightly. Apply organic fertiliser pellets monthly. If growing for seed, stop fertilising and reduce watering once plants are mature.
When to harvest: Start harvesting outside leaves from 4 weeks. If growing for seed, harvest the pods when they've dried.
