A type of small, Chinese cabbage, the entire plant is used in stir-fries or steamed.

When to plant/sow in zone:
Requirements: Full sun to part shade with at least three hours of sun; can be grown in containers
Soil: Well-drained soil enriched with compost and/or well-rotted manure or organic pellets. If in pots use premium potting mix and liquid feed regularly.
How to start: SEED: Sow direct or in punnets into seed-raising mix, 6mm deep. Keep moist. Germinates in 7-14 days. SEEDLING: Plant in the ground when seedlings are 5-10cm+ tall. Space 25cm apart, in rows 40cm apart.
How to grow: Keep moist and mulched with straw. Apply seaweed solution or liquid fertiliser fortnightly. Apply organic fertiliser pellets monthly.
When to harvest: Start harvesting from 5 weeks by removing outside leaves that are large enough. Or harvest the entire plant by cutting it at ground level.
