Step into Telopea Gardens, a stunning 10-acre property tucked away between Emerald and Cockatoo in the scenic Dandenong Ranges.

Established in 1978 and continually evolving, Telopea is both a working cut-flower garden and a unique horticultural sanctuary. With sweeping views, rare botanical specimens, and an informal layout that follows the land’s natural contours, it offers a rich sensory experience for plant lovers and garden explorers alike.

Highlights include:

• Panoramic vistas from elevated slopes over the textures, tones and silhouettes of mature oaks, maples, birches, and conifers
• A remarkable two-acre succulent and cactus garden, ‘The Prickle Patch’
• Meandering paths through diverse native and exotic shrubs, bulbs, and perennials
• Flourishing displays of proteas, waratahs, and leucadendrons, plants central to the garden’s cut-flower heritage
• Abundant birdlife, including King parrots, rosellas, honeyeaters, and robins

Visitors can also enjoy site plant sales, tea and coffee, with part of the proceeds supporting the State Emergency Service (SES).
