Parsley
Select Your Climate

One of the most versatile and easy-to-grow herbs, use parsley leaves fresh or dried.
When to plant/sow in zone:
Requirements:
Full sun to part shade with at least three hours of sun; great in containers; feed regularly
Soil:
Well-drained soil enriched with compost and/or well-rotted manure or organic pellets.
How to start: SEED: Sow direct in rows, or scatter, or in punnets into seed-raising mix, 3mm deep. Keep moist. Germinates in 14-21 days. SEEDLING: Plant in the ground or into 20-30cm pot when seedlings are 5-10cm+ tall. Space 30cm apart, in rows 30cm apart.
How to grow: Keep moist and mulched with straw. Apply seaweed solution or liquid fertiliser fortnightly. Apply organic fertiliser pellets monthly. Remove flower stalks as soon as they appear.
When to harvest: Start harvesting from 4 weeks, cutting off leaves as required. Cut at the base of the stem as they won't reshoot when the leaves are removed from the top.
Troubleshooting:
Bolting; carrot fly; whitefly
